What we collect

• What you send in the enquiry form: name, company, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country, product interest, quantity, application, message and any files you attach.
• Basic technical data: the page you enquired from, and standard server logs.

Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and quote for goods (performance of a contract / your request).
• To keep a record of quotations and orders (legitimate interest).
• To improve product pages (legitimate interest). We do not sell your data.

Retention

Enquiry records are kept for six years, the retention period for UK accounting records (HMRC), then deleted. Marketing contact needs your consent and can be withdrawn at any time.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Email sales@jlbetterlighting.co.uk to exercise a right; you may also complain to the ICO.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets only the cookies needed to run the enquiry form, plus anonymous traffic measurement where enabled by our hosting platform. No advertising cookies are set by the site itself; analytics or advertising pixels added later are covered by the cookie consent banner.

Security

Served over HTTPS on managed WordPress infrastructure with off-site backups. Uploaded files are stored on our server and are never published.
